My story (part 4)
So, after watching all of the free videos of a Laravel tutorial on a website called DevDojo (didn't know Laracasts existed back then) I started my first Laravel project. It was nothing fancy, just a project where I'd add whatever I was learning at the moment. For example, I remember a time where I was learning about uploading files, and I added a profile picture uploader to the project. It didn't have a clear purpose other than practicing what I read.
When I finally felt prepared to build real apps, I decided to make a clone of Octobox (which was released around that date) in Laravel. It was a really simple CRUD app where you linked your GitHub account and it listed your notifications (I abandoned it before I got time to add anything else) but it served me to learn about OAuth and APIs, as well as building a "complete" app (I had only built separate parts until then). So, I abandoned that project and started a new one, also using OAuth and the GitHub API, which I'd call OrgManager.
